Client: SourcedAI
Industry: GTM engineering consultancy

SourcedAI is a GTM engineering consultancy that helps businesses turn data into automated, signal-based sales. The company builds outbound and inbound systems, LinkedIn and email campaigns, lead routing workflows, and competitor tracking. Its founder, Andrew McCourt, spent years in sales teams before building the company.

Working with Beauhurst delivered

A 90% reduction in research time per campaign, meaning that list building that took a day previously now takes less than an hour

Hundreds of qualified UK companies enriched every month through the platform, flowing straight into campaigns without any manual re-keying

A single, reliable source of company signals feeding a fully automated campaign engine that runs without manual intervention

Why SourcedAI chose Beauhurst

Unannounced funding rounds as a first-mover signal

For Andrew, the single most valuable feature in Beauhurst is access to unannounced funding rounds. For the business, being able to see investment activity in regulatory filings before it becomes public knowledge is vital.

“There are a lot of people scraping for funding, so they probably get hit quite a lot at that exact point when they do a Series A or Series B. If you can get that unannounced, that’s where I think it’s really interesting,” Andrew says.

Companies at that stage haven’t yet been hit with congratulatory outreach from every direction, so getting there first, with the right message, is a genuine competitive advantage that no amount of web scraping or RSS monitoring can replicate.

The best aggregation of UK company signals in one place

Beyond funding, SourcedAI uses Beauhurst’s API to pull a wide range of signals, from award listings and growth indicators to directorship changes, directly into its automation stack, feeding Clay enrichment workflows and n8n automations without manual extraction.

Before Beauhurst, replicating this would have meant building and maintaining a patchwork of scrapers, APIs, and feeds, and accepting that the most valuable signals, like unannounced funding, simply weren’t available at all. Having one trusted, curated source that connects cleanly to the tools downstream is what makes the whole system reliable.

Data quality that justifies the investment

Andrew sees Beauhurst as built for businesses that need to know everything about a defined set of target companies: PE and VC firms, enterprise sales teams, or anyone running a highly targeted rather than high-volume approach.

“If you’re a private equity fund or a venture capital funder doing massive enterprise deals, you need to know everything: who they’ve signed, what their funding looks like, whatever. That’s who it’s useful for.”

And for those who question the cost, Andrew’s answer is straightforward:

“ If you’re doing two million pound deals, twenty grand is nothing. But losing the deal because you didn’t have the data? That’s everything. ”

The challenge

Before building SourcedAI, Andrew spent years watching sales teams do outreach the hard way: manually sending emails and LinkedIn messages in volume, with no real intelligence about who was worth contacting or when. Having come through PwC’s AI enablement team and then an early-stage AI consultancy, where he was one of the only salespeople, he experienced firsthand how unsustainable that model is.

The answer, he believed, was signal-based automation: using data triggers to identify the right moment to reach out, then building systems that could act on those triggers at scale, without manual input. The problem was that most available data sources, such as Companies House APIs, RSS feeds, and news scrapers, were either too slow, too messy, or missed the most valuable signals entirely.

“I was doing a lot of sending emails and LinkedIn, hoping people reply,” Andrew said.

Key moments in a company’s journey, like unannounced funding, were impossible to capture through conventional means. By the time a funding round became public, the moment had passed, and the company’s inbox was already full.

The solution

Andrew encountered Beauhurst at a Clay community event in Dublin, where the quality and depth of the data, and specifically the unannounced rounds capability, immediately stood out. He has since built Beauhurst into part of the core of SourcedAI’s signal-based outbound engine.

Beauhurst provides the underlying company data. SourcedAI designs and builds everything that happens after: the scoring logic, enrichment workflows, and campaign automation.

Beauhurst sits at the front of SourcedAI’s delivery stack. Every UK list the team builds starts from Beauhurst data, which feeds directly into an enrichment waterfall in Clay and into n8n automations, replacing manual desk research entirely. Collections are ingested, scored for relevance against a set of criteria, and where the score crosses the threshold, passed through to contact enrichment before loading straight into outreach campaigns.

“If a company just announced they’ve raised a million pounds in equity because they want to grow, that’s a lot more interesting than a company changing their trading address,” Andrew explains.

“So I’ve got a series of criteria: is this relevant? If so, it scores it. It then goes and finds the people, drafts the messages, and goes straight into campaigns. Fully autonomously, every single day.”

Alongside the automated engine, Andrew uses Beauhurst manually when reviewing a potential client, checking financials and directorship data for red flags before taking a conversation further. The platform functions as both the fuel for his automation and a due diligence tool in its own right.

The results

What once took the best part of a day of manual research now takes under an hour end-to-end, which is a 90% reduction in research time per campaign. Several hundred qualified UK companies flow through the platform every month, enriched and pushed straight into campaigns without any manual re-keying.

But for Andrew, the bigger shift is quality over volume. Using funding rounds, growth signals, and hiring activity as timing triggers means outreach lands when something is actually happening at a company, directly driving relevance and reply quality.

Andrew is clear on the advantage that Beauhurst’s signal data creates. “If you can get the unannounced funding, that’s where it’s really interesting,” he says. “Suddenly you’ve got an advantage in the marketplace. You’re contacting people that aren’t getting the same volume.”

For Andrew, the value of that extra 10% of opportunities that Beauhurst surfaces, the companies no one else is reaching, goes well beyond the numbers. “I’d actually argue that those 10% of people are equally or more valuable than the other 90%,” he says. “Because no one else is hitting them.”
