What is the Local Growth Index?
The Local Growth Index measures the UK's local authorities against four pillars (Innovation, Scaling, Investment and ESG) and 16 measures of their companies, to produce a single, comparable score for every local business economy, where the UK as a whole scores 1,000.
- What it is
- It's a single, comparable score for every UK local authority's business economy.
- Why we built it
- Built using Beauhurst data to give councils, investors and researchers one consistent way to read local economic performance.
- How to use it
- To use it, find an authority, see how it compares to others, and track it as the underlying data changes.
